Introduction
When travelling to the Philippines, Manila is a central location, and Sheraton Airport is directly across from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. The Sheraton Manila Hotel offers a luxurious and convenient option for travellers seeking comfort and accessibility.

Booking
I booked the hotel using my corporate account via the Marriott Bonvoy App, or you can book directly on the website. The Marriott Bonvoy App is very convenient as it has a chat with the hotel feature, which I often use. So far, the response has been very quick, professional and accurate. The average price for a standard room I stayed in is PP10,918 or USD $197 per night.
Location
The hotel's prime location in Pasay City, within the Newport World Resorts complex, provides guests with immediate access to the airport via a short walk or shuttle service. This proximity is ideal for those with early flights or layovers. Despite its closeness to the airport, I can report minimal noise disturbances, thanks to effective soundproofing measures. In setting my room preference, I chose to face the airport.
Check-in
The standard check-in time is 4 p.m., but if you're a Platinum or higher member of the Marriott Bonvoy program, you can head directly to the Executive Lounge on the 10th floor for a more personalized check-in experience. This time, I was pleasantly surprised when a hostess greeted me at the main lobby security checkpoint and personally escorted me to the 10th floor—a thoughtful and welcoming touch.
As a Titanium member, I also took advantage of the late check-out benefit. With my flight to Singapore scheduled for 4 p.m., I requested and was granted a 3 p.m. checkout, which made my departure day much more relaxed and convenient.

Hotel
The property offers all the amenities you’d expect from a typical Marriott—a well-equipped fitness room, pool, hot tub, spa, executive lounge, restaurant, and bar. The hotel features a conservative modern décor, though it would be a welcome touch to see more local influence, perhaps through artwork by regional artists.
Navigating the Newport World Reports is straightforward, thanks to a network of indoor corridors. In some cases, getting to the shops requires passing through the casino, but for those who prefer to avoid it, you can simply exit the elevator on Level 3 and use the hallways to reach your destination without stepping onto the casino floor.
Fitness Center
The fitness room offers a good selection of equipment and is quite spacious. It is also open 24 hours a day, allowing you to get fit at any time.
Pool
The pool is an outdoor pool that is shared with the Hilton. The pool has a swim-up bar. It was used frequently, and I found it a great way to unwind.
Executive Lounge
The Executive Lounge, located on the 10th floor, is one of the standout benefits of Platinum membership. It’s a great place to recharge—both yourself and your devices. While the lounge tends to get busy during happy hour around 5 pm and at 7 am for breakfast, it remains a comfortable and welcoming space.
I want to highlight the exceptional attentiveness of the lounge staff. On a previous stay, they noted that I enjoy pink guava juice. Since then, they’ve made it a point to serve it to me as a welcome drink upon check-in—an impressive touch that shows how well they remember returning guests.
One individual who truly went above and beyond was Rochelle. I arrived on an early morning flight—specifically, the inaugural Air Canada flight from Vancouver. Despite the early hour, Rochelle ensured I was checked in promptly and had a room ready. Later, once her shift began, she personally arranged for a cake delivery to mark another special occasion. That level of attention to detail and genuine care is exactly what keeps frequent travellers like me loyal to this brand.
Accommodations
The Sheraton Manila Hotel features 386 rooms, including suites and lofts, designed with modern aesthetics and comfort in mind. Rooms are equipped with plush bedding, spacious bathrooms, and ample natural light. This hotel gets high praise for its cleanliness and maintenance of the accommodations. You have two options: airport view or inner courtyard/pool view rooms. I always try to have the airport view.
The room also includes a workspace, which is situated in the corner of the room, facing the wall. All the plugs and connections are on the right of the table.
Breakfast
Marriott Bonvoy Platinum members have two available breakfast options: you can either dine in the Executive Lounge on the 10th floor or enjoy breakfast in the main restaurant on the ground floor. For this trip, I opted for the Executive Lounge, as it tends to be quieter and offers the selection I typically prefer. Eggs made to order is a welcome enhancement to the lounge offerings. But what would make it better is if they had eggs benny on the menu ;) (hint hint).

Dining options
Dining at the Sheraton Manila is a culinary experience, with multiple on-site restaurants offering a range of cuisine. Guests can enjoy international dishes at S Kitchen or indulge in Korean barbecue at Oori. With a short walk, you can go to Newport World Resorts for even more choices.
Conclusion
For travellers seeking a blend of luxury and convenience near Manila's primary airport, the Sheraton Manila Hotel stands out as a top choice. Its strategic location, comprehensive amenities, and commitment to service make it a preferred option for business and leisure travellers. I won't hesitate to return, and most likely will.
